Candle Safety and Instructions for Use
-
SAFETY FIRST: Always place your candle on a flat, stable surface away from flammable materials such as furniture or drapes and keep out of the reach of children and pets. Always remain in the same room as the lit candle – never leave your lit candle unattended.
BURN 3-4 HOURS AND LET WAX POOL TO THE EDGE: Upon the first use of your candle it is best to set aside 3 to 4 hours of uninterrupted burn time to allow the entire top layer of wax to liquefy to the edge of the jar. This will prevent what we refer to as a “memory ring” from being left on the wall of the jar.
TRIM THE WICK TO 1/8” EVERY 4 HOURS: It is suggested that the wick be trimmed to 1/8“ after every 4 hours of burn time. Please ensure the wick is extinguished prior to trimming it.
MAX BURN TIME OF 4 HOURS AT A TIME: It is recommended that you only burn your candle for no more than four hours at a time, let it cool for 2 hours and trim the wick before lighting again.
CLEAN THE TOP OF THE JAR: There will be some soot build up around the top of the jar as well as some waxy residue along the inside wall of the jar. When the candle is unlit and cool, simply take a paper towel and just wipe away the soot and residue to allow the beautiful flame to shine through the glass.
